Let me introduce myself. My little name is Missi, my full name is Misericordia(more about that later), and my pen name is"The Tabby Pundit". I will post on this blog my thoughts on various philosophical, moral, ethical, political, and social issues. The fact of the matter is that since I settled down here and got that new human "pretend master" almost a year ago, I have spent a great deal of time in his company being stroked and scratched while brainstorming and debating the issues of the day. He gets so upset sometimes that I have to but in and demand a full belly massage. That, accompanied by some silly sweet talk will usually relax both of us in just a few minutes...
I was a bit down and out and homeless last winter, roaming this pretty nice and quiet southside neighborhood foraging for something to keep my stomach from growling. It was a cold day in hell and I was looking for a warm place to spend the night. Anyhow, that house had big glass doors and I could see a human inside. So I put on my best pitiful face, scratched the door, and meowed theatrically till he noticed me. I should mention that my meows are all the more pathetic because they are nearly silent, having been subjected to an untimely ventriculocordectomy in a past life.
A dozen lives or so before, I was in Florence for a while and modeled for a starving artist named Leo something. Not a very good likeness really, but I heard he made it big, which surprised me, considering how scattered he was...
But I digress, let's get back to this latest life. It worked, sort of: he gave me a bowl of cream. Not milk mind you, real cream. A good sign indeed. So I went back the next day, did my act aq again, and he gave me some dog food out of a can. Not bad actually, better than some stuff with cat pictures on the outside. To tell you the truth, I believe it's all the same stuff with different labels for marketing purposes... Except maybe for the fishy stuff, though I have met plenty of dogs that like it too.
